800 Degrees Pizzeria Finds Home at New York-New York - Eater Vegas

Pizza in 90 seconds will still be available on the Strip

Long whispered as a less-than-successful fit at the Monte Carlo resort, 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria makes a transition south, moving along the Strip, reducing its size, and hoping to provide a quick, casual option for a different style of customer. 90 Degree Angle Aluminum Tile Decorative Profiles

Debuting in April 2014 with a prominent 3,278-square-foot corner spot, it became part of the Monte Carlo’s BLVD Plaza makeover, bordering the entrance to the casino. This area now awaits a takeover by the approximate 40,000 square feet of Eataly from Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich. They will be providing their own pizza selections inside the European-inspired food hall.

The pizza restaurant 800 Degrees will in turn head to New York-New York, filling 1,576 square feet of space with an indoor patio and taking over the mezzanine location of NYP-New York Pizzeria. Ubiquitous Las Vegas food court presence Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group ran the restaurant along with Nathan’s, New York Pretzel, and Häagen-Dazs on the property.

The site near the entrance to the bridge crossing over to the MGM Grand will keep the back of the house intact, while remodeling all finishes, furniture, and themes. Downtown design team Bunnyfish Studio plans to design the restaurant, the company’sr first foray into a Strip casino resort.

Specializing in thin crust, build-your-own pizzas, ready in 60 to 90 seconds, the fast-casual 800 Degrees still operates a 2,025-square-foot outpost at the SLS Las Vegas.

No announcement about the location or a timetable for a closure and reopening has yet to be revealed.
