Balenciaga has revealed the latest flavor of its iconic Triple S trainer, this time, completely wrapped in light blue denim panels.
The shoes, which first made their debut in 2017, have received high praise and high criticism since their launch but have undoubtedly become an icon of sneakerhead and streetwear culture. Best Ballet Flats
With a countless number of inline releases, you’d be hard-pressed to find a colorway that didn’t suit you, which is one of the reasons there have been very few collaborations on the silhouette – although, we did see a Gucci collab in 2021 and an adidads collab in late 2022.
Having found its own success, the silhouette hasn’t had to lean on collaborations to make sales for the brand. This is largely due to its standout Triple S or triple sole design, created in collaboration between Demna Gvasalia and footwear designer David Tourniaire-Beauciel.
In its latest example, the Triple S is found with light blue panels of denim completely encasing the bold trainer. Other details include soft blue laces, pull tabs and rubber outsoles that blend seamlessly with the denim.
The shoe is then accented with minimal touches of white, including an embroidered logo, size indicator at the toe and white rubberized “Triple S” branding at the tongue.
Retailing for $1,100 USD, the latest offering is available now on Balenciaga’s official site.
