Shayna Alnwick , who is based in the UK, revealed the step-by-step process of her project in a video on her TikTok page .
To make her marble table dupe she started with an Ikea LACK side table , which costs just $20.
"I got some marble contact paper and four sheets of MDF cut. I wrapped [the MDF sheets] all up [in contact paper] and wrapped the top of the table and used some glue and brad nails to secure [the MDF sheets to the table]," she said in the video.
Alnwick then used silicone to fill the gaps between the MDF sheets and the table top and legs.
The final result looks great, especially when you consider it cost about $35 to make and was extremely quick and simple to put together.
The DIY was a hit with Alnwick's followers, including one who was about to dump her Ikea tables in landfill.
